Artist Bio

Helen Hancock, an artist and glassblower based in the Northwest of Ireland, graduated from NCAD in Dublin. With experience spanning between Seattle and Ireland, including roles at Bruce Greek Glass in Seattle and as an artist assistant for Killian Schurmann, Helen returned to glassblowing in 2017 after working in breastfeeding support, infant massage, and baby yoga. In 2020, she established her own hot shop. Helen innovatively pioneered a process to infuse breastmilk into molten glass, crafting highly personal pieces for clients worldwide, collaborating with a master jeweler to create bespoke pieces with infused glass “stones.” Alongside her bespoke work, Helen continues her artistic journey, striving to increase visibility in the field of glass art.
