Lisa-Ann is a ceramicist based in Co. Antrim who explores the boundaries of wheel thrown forms, pushing them to the extremes through altering and joining them to create each unique piece. Her work looks to celebrate the beauty and lives of the animals she makes, bringing their story and character to life through her illustration which adorns their bodies. Each piece is hand painted with cobalt oxide using a technique called Sometsuke, which helps to illustrate the beauty of the animals, as if they have leaped out of a storybook.
