Rebecca creates bodies of work that encourage the audience to make human connections to a collection of inanimate objects. She combines the contemporary Scandinavian thrown pottery design authentic of Copenhagen with a modernised colour palette of the rural Strangford landscape in Northern Ireland. She is inspired by the classic vase whilst wanting to achieve a set of work which has overall balance.
Each piece is hand thrown in porcelain stoneware and decorated in a cobalt and copper oxide wash before being dipped in a transparent glaze.
