Artist Bio
Claire Mooney is a contemporary Jeweller, Silversmith and Artist, working from a home studio near Annalong; at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. She graduated from Ulster University in 2018 with a BA specialising in Silversmithing and Jewellery, then completed an MA in Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies the following year. As a member of Contemporary British Silversmiths and Heritage Crafts Association her work seeks to combine traditional metalworking techniques with elements of Northern Ireland’s heritage and rural landscape. She explore these themes through the use of texture, form and material contrasts.
