Precious white metal bowls with vitreous enamel

Price on request

The work shown in this exhibition is a selection of experimental work Cara created while on her QEST Scholarship, whose objective was to learn to engrave, to enhance the organic patterns she creates on the surface of her silverware, and to increase her knowledge of working with transparent vitreous enamel so that these patterns are highlighted by the refraction of light allowing her to produce more integrate work on a larger scale.

Cara worked for 5 full weeks with Master Engravers Malcolm Appleby (Scotland) and Angus McFadyen (England), and with Master Enameller Jane Short (England). She also then developed the work further in her own workshop and has created a new body of work which will be shown with QEST at COLLECT 2024.

The bowls are avaialble for sale – PRICE ON REQUEST.
