Artist Bio
As someone with ASD and physical disabilities I often find myself seeking ways to find relief in the items I interact with on a day to day basis. My love of crocheting toys draws from this need to interact and experience, and this has been incorporated into my work. Building upon those skills I have created unique pieces which cater to both physical and psychological therapeutic settings, providing unique outlets to users who interact with them via a combination of crochet and ceramic components; they make use of touch, sound and sight to provoke positive responses in the user. These pieces exist because of my fascination with the body’s response to physical stimuli, they bring relief through the senses, facilitating productive experiences and development.
