Her inspirations often come from human connections, astronomy and historical world culture. Within her collections Tara enjoys exploring concepts of an intangible nature bringing these thought processes through subtly in her work.

Tara’s new ‘True North’ jewellery collection is the culmination of several months of dedicated work. The initial inspiration came from the North Star, Thuban, which guided ancient civilizations around the time the pyramids were built. Striving to combine history with modernity, this collection delves into themes of self-reflection, personal history, and our connection with others, the world, and the greater universe.

Each piece features a meticulously carved four-pointed star, not only symbolizing direction and guidance but also serving as a reflective surface. Through these stars, the wearer is invited to view the world from a fresh perspective, seeing their surroundings – and themselves – in a new light. This reflective quality transforms each piece into a tool for introspection.
