Artist Bio
Hannah Ferguson is a ceramic and textile artist from County Antrim. She graduated from Duncan of Jordanston College of Art in 2009, and is an associate member of the Ulster Society of Women Artists.
Originally trained in printmaking, Ferguson brings a strong drawing practice to her work in clay, creating richly decorated terracotta vessels inspired by landscape, the rhythms of nature and local folk traditions. Influenced by historic Irish red earthenware and 18th-century harvest jugs, she uses sgraffito to carve narrative imagery into the surface of her forms.
Alongside her studio practice, Ferguson works in education and outreach within community and museum settings, where shared stories and memories continue to inform the narrative
quality of her work.
